The Father Joseph Bill Foundation was established in response to the need for practical support for the pastoral and educational work of missionaries in East Africa.
The Foundation is based at 9/3 Bernardyńska Street in Kraków and was registered on 25 October 2019.
The Foundation was established alongside an informal retreat community made up of returning and new participants in the summer spiritual exercises initiated by the late Father Joseph Bill.
The life and work of Father Antony—and previously of the late Father Joseph Bill—have inspired many people to become actively involved in supporting the missions in East Africa.
The Foundation’s mission is to conduct its own evangelisation, charitable, educational, and religious activities, with particular emphasis on supporting the work carried out in East Africa by missionaries of the in India.
Every year, we organise a five-day retreat for inner healing and renewal of faith in Poland, responding to the spiritual needs of a wide range of participants.
Our spiritual director is Father Antony Saji VC, who combines his missionary work in Kenya with leading retreats in Europe, Korea, and East Africa.
Our summer retreat welcomes families and individual participants, young and old, as well as consecrated persons. Participants come ready to listen to the Word of God and open themselves to its transforming power. In their testimonies, they speak of the healing and spiritual strength they experienced during the retreat.
The Foundation provides financial support to the De Paul Boys Home in Kayunga, Uganda, which was established on the initiative of Father Antony Saji VC.
The home provides care and education for dozens of boys who spend most of the year under the care of missionaries. The Foundation also supports the education of seminarians studying at the Congregation’s seminary.
The Foundation operates entirely on a non-profit basis. It receives no remuneration or other financial benefits for its work. Every year, it publishes financial reports and accounts for all donations received. All donations are used entirely to support the missions.
